Tips for getting the most out of "My BST"

Once you’ve familiarized yourself with the basics of the “My BST” area of the website (see our Introduction here), you can take your online Bible study to a whole new level with just a few bits of inside information.  Here are some tips and tricks to make using Bible Study Tools easy and exciting:

Annotations:
When you want to highlight a verse, change its font color, or make certain text in your personal online Bible bold or italicized, remember each Internet browser handles these functions differently.  Some allow for more than one verse to be annotated at a time, others don’t.  If you have any trouble with your annotations:
*Try selecting only one verse at a time.
*Select only the text of the verse (not the verse number or any space around the verse) to annotate.
*Always select the verse first, then click the desired toolbar button to complete your annotation.

Printing:
When you want to print verse text from your “My BST” reading pane, simply navigate to the desired Bible passage and click the “Print” button in the toolbar.  Your passage will print showing all of your annotations except highlights.  If you want highlights to show up, too, you’ll need to do the following:

For Internet Explorer
*Go to the Tools menu.
*Click “Internet Options.”
*Click the “Advanced” tab.
*Scroll down to “Printing.”
*Click the checkbox for “Print background colors and images.”
*You will now be able to see your highlights printed.

For Firefox
*Go to the File menu.
*Click “Page Setup.”
*Click the “Format & Options” tab.
*Click the checkbox for “Print Background (colors & images).”
*You will now be able to see your highlights printed.

As always, we welcome your feedback.
